Real Madrid beat Man Utd to win UEFA Super Cup in Macedonia

Real Madrid Football Club defeated Manchester United 2:1 in Macedonia to become UEFA Super Cup winners.

Casmiro opened the scoring in the 4th minute for the Spanish Champions and UEFA Champions League holders, and Isco doubled the lead on the 53rd minute before Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for the UEFA Europa League winners.

The winning makes Real Madrid the first team to successfully win back to back  UEFA Super Cups since AC Milan did in 1989 and 1990.

Marcus Rashford came on as a substitute replacing Jesse Lingard at half-time, and he was impressed as he was closed to grabbing an equalizer but Real Madrid shot-stopper, Keylor Navas denied the England International a goal.

Isco won man of the match award after an impressive performance for Real Madrid, he helped Zidane's side control possession of the ball. He fine display was accompany with a lovely goal after as assist from Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid will play bitter rivals Barcelona on Sunday in the Spanish Super Cup first leg at the Nou Camp and the second leg to be played three days later at the Santiago Bernabeu. 

While Manchester United begin their Prremier League campaign on Sunday with a match at Old Trafford agianst West Ham Unted.
