Nigerian Army to gradually withdraw soldiers from Abia State - Gov. Ikpeazu

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu said the soldiers on the streets of Aba will be gradually withdrawn from Friday.

The Governor does not have control over the troops of army that are on the streets of Aba but will have to seek for the support of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Channels TV report that the Governor made the announcement on Thursday as he plans the withdrawal of the troops of army from his state.

There have been a clash recently between the Nigerian Army and the members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The military had announce the commencment of its "Operation Python Dance 2" in Aba, the South-East region which has cause problems in Abia State as soldiers continue fighting with IPOB.
