Nigerian man arrested in India for kidney fraud

A 32-year-old Nigerian man, David Ujima Uba, has been arrested in India by Indian police for defrauding up to 20 people of Rs 3 crore, about N16,55m in kidney donation scam.

David Uba traveled through tourist visa in 2013, forge a fake hospital website and issued an advertisement which he promised to help victims secure kidney donations.

People who fall victims paid money into his bank account, but they got nothing after their payment, his victims filed a complaint with Kolkata cyber crime in April.

He was finally arrested at his friend's in Nagenahalli Dinne close to Kothaur, after he was traced through his phone's call record details information,
